What impact does genetics have on crime?
What will be an ideal response?
There is a considerable amount of recent research into the relationship between genetics and crime. Several recent studies of twins appear to suggest that antisocial behavior may have a substantial inherited component, although it may be that genes influence the way in which people respond to external surroundings (e.g., creating a genetic predisposition to respond in certain ways to a criminogenic environment) rather than actually producing antisocial behavior.
