Describe the effect that your body language can have on communication with patients and coworkers.

What will be an ideal response?

Your body language communicates how you really feel, even if your words say something different. Your body language may indicate that you are happy, sad, bored, disgusted, mad, and so on. Other people respond to your body language even though you may not be aware of it. They react to what your body is telling them. This may be a barrier to communication and indicate that you are preoccupied, not willing to listen, or in a hurry, among other things. Your body language may also have a positive effect on the listener. It may show that you are sincere, that you really care, or that you are not rushed. It is important to monitor what your body language is saying, and be sure to send positive messages to others.
