What is a comp?

What will be an ideal response?

The last stage of creating the design involves the preparation of the final prototype, called a comprehensive or comp. The comprehensive is a visual model that is either drawn as art using markers or acrylic paints or created on a computer. The comprehensive must be a representation of how the final product will appear in final production. It is prepared to full-size, has considerable detail, and shows all colors. Because it is so easy to make adjustments in image size and image position on a computer, the designer may choose to give the client a number of options for the final product. The client reviews the comprehensive for final approval to proceed with production. The comprehensive also accompanies the product through production so that production personnel can see how the final product should appear.
