What will be an ideal response?
Probable cause to detain a suspect is decided at a court proceeding, called the first

hold a person in custody for further proceedings.
Probable cause to go to trial is decided in a preliminary hearing or a grand jury
proceeding to decide whether there is sufficient evidence to bind over the defendant
