Describe three of the challenges for the future of MRE and what is being done to address those challenges.
What will be an ideal response?
Possible answers include three of the following: Target, timing, setting, content, methods, and dosage. Example: The challenge of timing refers to when individuals receive marriage and relationship education. Previously efforts have primarily been directed at newlywed and engaged couples, but recent efforts have been made to provide services to step-families as well as youth and emerging adults in order to improve chances of success for future relationships, not just current. The challenge of method refers to creating instructional methods appropriate to diverse audiences, such as active learning methods for less educated audiences. Self-directed MRE has been a major focus in new directions for methods. The challenge of target refers to the lack of diversity in the audience of MRE. Recently, major efforts have been made to recruit and target disadvantaged audiences, including government initiatives and funding.
