Health is more than just the absence of disease and relates to more than just the physical dimension. Holistic health encompasses physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and social dimensions. An imbalance in any of these dimensions will affect one's health. The holistically healthy person functions as a total, balanced person. In the context of stress, every dimension of health may be negatively affected.
