Answer: Arthroplasty is the replacement or the reconstruction of a joint, this can include total replacement or reshaping of the bones. Open reduction is the correction of a fracture through a surgical incision. Usually included in an open reduction is internal fixation which are the devices like rods, screws, pins and plates.
