Explain the relationship between socioeconomic status and health/disability as these factors are related to the aging process

What will be an ideal response?

As people age they experience more medical problems and disabilities, but these problems are affected by socioeconomic status. The more affluent and educated people are as they enter their sixties, the healthier they tend to be. People from poor and working class backgrounds are more likely to have health problems and to have difficulty obtaining regular medical care. They are also more likely to drink heavily and smoke and to have experienced chronic stress in their life experiences, all of which contributed to health problems.
