What information gathering techniques do you think would work best with the scenario and why?
You are working on a robot that has a servo drive alarm and find blown fuses on the drive. In
the course of gathering information, you discover that the motor has a loose connection, which
caused it to overheat, damaging the internal windings and the motor encoder. Once you replace
the motor and encoder, you get another servo drive alarm that indicates there is a bad card in the
drive.
Checking the Alarm messages and tables, continuity checks, power failure checks,
signal checks for the encoder, referring to the manuals. Possibly calling technical support
or searching the web. The why portion will likely vary, but it should include some
reference to how each of the chosen methods work and what type of problems they work
best with.
