Some people believe that their houses are haunted. One sign of a haunted house is a strange smell. One lady and her roommate always smelled cigar smoke. On occasion they even saw smoke. But nobody in the house smoked. Sometimes the doors and windows of a haunted house open and close on their own. According to one homeowner, the bathroom window was open every morning, but the homeowner shut and locked the window every night. Another common sign is the sound of footsteps. A young girl, home alone, thought that she heard footsteps in the upstairs bedroom. She became frightened and in a panic called the police and her parents. The police and her parents searched the house from front to back. However, they found the house empty. All of these houses could have been haunted. Or maybe these people just have very active imaginations.
