Is "baby talk" harmful?

What will be an ideal response?

Baby talk in which the baby leads is very useful if it is at or above the baby's level of language development because it helps the baby get a sense of conversational give and take before the baby is able to understand words. Baby talk is not helpful, however, if it is below the baby's level of ability. When adults pace their interactions with infants, babies learn that a specific behavior elicits a predictable response.
