Why is it important to spell out and define all features of a procedure?

What will be an ideal response?


Once a study is published, other psychologists may want to replicate this study. The procedure becomes a recipe/ set of directions for which the future psychologist can follow. Reliability would suggest that the subsequent psychologist would be able to replicate the original results.
