Process of Science: Based on what you learned in this chapter, would you expect life to be able to evolve around first-generation stars in our universe? Why or why not?
What will be an ideal response?
Most would say no, as the first-generation stars should not have yet been enriched with the heavy elements we believe are necessary for life. A student could also argue that life could form without these and our current understanding of life is incomplete.
