Describe the Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative program.

What will be an ideal response?


This federal initiative is meant to improve the quality of life for juvenile and adult offenders returning to the community. It especially targets serious and violent offenders who have a higher risk of recidivism. The purpose is to decrease recidivism through goal-initiative programming. Services and resources focus on employment, education, housing, substance use, and physical and mental health.
