In order to do this, the teacher has to first possess an understanding of the children the literature is for and the purpose for which the books are being used. After this has been established, the teacher needs to learn the various aspects of good children’s literature. Reading much children’s literature is very helpful. Additional sources of information and titles can be found in library journals, children’s literature websites, and book publisher’s websites.
