Explain how to perform a battery load test.
What will be an ideal response?
After it has been determined that the battery has a good state of charge, the load tester is connected to the battery and a load (equal to 1/2 of the cold cranking amps specification of the battery) is placed on it for 15 seconds. At 80ºF the battery voltage should not drop below 9.6 volts during the test.
