How was the Final Solution conceived of and enacted?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary. The Final Solution was made an official policy of the Wannsee conference in January 1942, and made the destruction of the Jews and other undesirables (as deemed by the Nazis) the goal. Although Jews had been persecuted and murdered en masse in military operations, the Final Solution itself was organized by the government as part of a deliberate and official policy. The destruction of the European Jews took place in three stages: ghettoization, deportation, and murder. First, Jews were forcibly cloistered in crowded, unsanitary sections of each town and city in the Reich. Those that didn't die of illness or starvation were deported to camps, where they were killed in death chambers designed to look like showers, using poison gas.
