Why does the hot gas from the compressor enter the condenser at the top and the sub-cooled liquid leave the condenser from the bottom?
What will be an ideal response?
Liquid refrigerant is more dense than vapor. As the hot vapor condenses to a liquid, it pushes downward and aids refrigerant flow through the condenser. If the hot gas entered at the bottom of the coil, as it condensed it would push downward and slow the flow of refrigerant through the coil.
