A three-year-old boy is running around the supermarket, knocking down cans of food, and does not stop when his grandmother asks him to
The grandmother takes the child by the arm and the child starts yelling, "You're hurting me!" Assume there is no physical injury to the child. Is it child abuse? Explain your answer.
It is difficult to determine what child abuse is and what is not. One factor would be the manner in which the child's arm was taken. If done in a violent manner it would be child abuse. While this could be child abuse depending on the manner in which the child was handled, it does not seem to be in this case.
