What does the author mean by the “social organization of convenience?” Give an example and explain how it applies.

What will be an ideal response?

The social organization of convenience points to the way we set up our lives
around a particular way of doing things so that it becomes difficult to do things any
other ways. These habits are what drive deterministic understandings of technology,
such as the coffee machine. We come to formulate ideas that the coffee machine, and its
use of electricity for example, is necessary every morning. Conversely, though, coffee can
be made with electricity through methods that are not part of our everyday habits. This
is where convenience comes to blind us to alternative options that could exist or that we
have long forgotten.
