Describe the “neighborhood effects” that might contribute to violent conflict in a region. In your discussion, specifically identify how a nation’s “bad neighbors” influence the likelihood of their own violent conflict. Discuss examples of these neighborhood effects and explain how they may cause the spread of violence.

What will be an ideal response?

Conflict-ridden areas are plagued with refugee crises, violence, fear, lack of infrastructure, trafficking, weak boarders, and a constant fear of the spread of violence. Many of these countries share instabilities so when violence breaks out, the impacts on its neighbors are all it takes to spark violence there. The text offers many examples including how the burden of millions of refugees may tip countries into their own conflict and how populistic tensions spark conflict.
