The CALL UP strategy teaches students to listen for cue words and copy main ideas that the teacher has written from the board or on a projected image. Then students listen and look for details which they add to their notes. Each time a question is asked by the teacher or student, students write it down marking it with a Q. They then look for the answer, write it down, and mark it with an A. Students use their textbooks for review. They write text information in their own words within their notes.
