The student should indicate that juggling work and family roles is stressful. Three types of role disruptions can take place in families. Role conflict occurs when the expectation of two or more separate roles are incompatible. Role overload occurs when others expectations exceeds one's ability to meet them in any role capacity. Role ambiguity occurs when a person does not know exactly what role expectations to perform. Discussion should include examples of each disruption.
