Briefly explain why singles are postponing marriage

What will be an ideal response?

Many young people are pursuing a college education, preparing for a job or career, and spending more time in recreational or other activities before marrying. As a result, many people are marrying later than their parents or grandparents did. Also, in the late 1960s, feminists, especially, began to question women's traditional roles both inside and outside the family. Over the past few generations, both women and men have thought more consciously and deliberately about when and whom to marry.
