Why are multi-tiered systems of support such as RtI so important for addressing the needs of students with ADHD?
What will be an ideal response?
ANSWER: Answers should address the fact that many students with ADHD my not qualify for services under either IDEA 2004 or Section 504. Therefore, Tier I and Tier II supports are important in making sure they are able to get appropriate support to meet their academic needs. For students who do qualify for either IDEA or 504, RtI allows them to remain integrated into the general classroom setting as much as possible.
