Give an example of the test–retest method of determining reliability.
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: For example, if I measure stress, the concept of stress is variable from day to day, and on any given day, stress may be high or low. Consequently, the reliability of measuring stress may be lower because of the actual variability of the construct. The test–retest method of determining reliability addresses such problems as consistency in administering the measure.
