You are interested in being a judge and are looking at U.S. magistrate judge, district judge, circuit judge, and even Supreme Court justice. As you are doing your research, from a law student's perspective, you know that U.S. magistrate judges assist U.S. district judges by conducting pretrial criminal matters, supervising discovery in civil cases, and making reports and recommendations concerning the disposition of motions and prisoner petitions. those appealed. You feel that you really want to make a difference in whatever city you will move to after graduation, and you're hoping to make a great and lasting impact that will change how criminal cases will be tried in the future.
