When you merge layers together, the objects on each of the layers that are merged become objects on the single layer that results. To merge multiple layers into a single layer, press and hold [Ctrl] (Win) or [command key] (Mac), then click all of the layers in the Layers panel that you wish to merge. Click the Layers panel menu button, then click Merge Layers.
