The innovation and ability of concrete had its affect on many cultures through the time of history but in specific when looking at the roman architecture we see how this culture was able to take advantage of this newfound concrete and use it to its full magnitude. The innovation of concrete was something crazy and obviously the romans always being ahead of other nations we the first to get their hands on it and through concrete was the reason we see such beauties that they were able to create. this concrete gave the romans the chance to build architectural feats that had never been done before and without the assistance of the concrete these milestones on their buildings could not be achieved. When looking at the architecture wonders that the romans were able to create it must be taken into consideration the hard work and use of concrete. These two factors were the reasons the romans were ahead of the other nations and could create such things that no one else could. Concrete gave them the ability to make the barrel vaults because it was so powerful it made this feat and accomplishment possible to be done without it they could have not accomplished what they accomplished. Also just as important was the ability to make groin vaults, something that without the concrete the romans not be able to do. Also a t-junction made by the connection of two barrel vaults intermixed at the center with the connection of the right angles, additionally plus not to be forgotten was the hemispherical domes, which were massive hemispherical domes that did not warrant assistance in the center and were strong enough to allow gaps to allow light to flow through. These innovations were the reason rome was s ahead of its time and could be seen as a world power. When everything good going for them in regards to war success and prosperity their art and architecture kept on rising and just like the rest of the empire it was at the top. Now when considering another aspect known as the Flavian Amphitheater which at the time was the largest amphitheater ever made and could hold more people than the sports arenas do today. The power and size were massive and showed the power of the romans they wanted to show off to the world hey look we are unlimited in everything we do.
