Describe the relationship between personality and school achievement
What will be an ideal response?
A strong link exists between academic achievement and openness and conscientiousness, particularly in adolescents. This is likely the result of conscientious students being able to set learning goals, regulate their behavior, and persist until goals are met. Similarly, students open to experiences may achieve higher because they respect and appreciate knowledge and discovery. Additonal research has identified links between academic achievement and extraversion, openness, and conscientiousness in younger students.
