Describe the two types of parole
What will be an ideal response?
The two types of parole are discretionary parole and mandatory parole. The board dictates what specific parole rules parolees must obey. They have the discretion to release the inmate to serve the remainder of his or her sentence in the community. For mandatory parole release, the amount of time a person must remain in prison is a predetermined percentage of the sentence. The inmate is released when the unserved portion of the maximum prison term equals his or her earned good time.
