Describe the ways in which you have demonstrated intellectual curiosity in the last week or so. Are you satisfied with the extent to which you have done so?

What will be an ideal response?

The focus here doesn't necessarily have to be on school work; students can consider other venues where they may have shown intellectual curiosity—referencing their Toyota Camry owner's manual, for example, to find out how to replace a burned-out taillight or install the spare tire so as to be prepared for those eventualities. When do students display intellectual curiosity? Do those instances share anything in common? Are those instances different from the type of learning that happens in class? If so, can that change—indeed, would it be beneficial to develop intellectual curiosity for course work?
