Explain the interdependence of the nine key reading strategies and the implications for teaching students to use them

What will be an ideal response?

The nine key reading strategies are interdependent of one another in that none can be taught in isolation. For example, to understand how to make an inference, one must be able to use background knowledge. In order to teach students to use strategies effectively and in conjunction with one another, it is wise to teach multiple strategy instruction, so that students learn to coordinate the uses of comprehension strategies while reading.
