The first step is to reorganize and summarize lecture notes to find connections, draw conclusions, and analyze information. It does not matter whether lecture notes were taken by hand or recorded on a computer, or whether they reflect the Cornell method, idea mapping, or one of the outline methods. The study notes that result from the reorganization process represent a complete source of information, one that can be supplemented by textbook details as well as your own comments and analysis.
