In a short essay, list and discuss the three major stages of the Total Responsibility Management system.

What will be an ideal response?

1. Inspiration process: It is during the inspiration process that the firm identifies the
establishment of its ethical leadership commitment as well as establishes the vision-setting
process. It is also during this stage that the formalization of the responsibilities and commitments
to the ethical vision take place. The inspiration stage also incorporates the process to engage with the firm’s stakeholders and identifies its foundation values along with the international standards that are applicable to its operations.
2. Integration: The integration process involves top management integrating the ethical
vision, value, and leadership into the strategic decision-making process. The integration process
involves integration into the corporate- and business-level strategies of the firm as well as
identifying strategic implementation responsibilities, which include human resource and
management system issues.
3. Innovation: Through the use of the Total Responsibility Management system, firms are
not only able to present their ethical vision to their stakeholders via their codes of ethics, but they
also will be able to generate new ideas on how to improve their TRM systems.
