How does a president use advisors and bureaucratic offices to assist him/her in the performance of his/her duties? What would the president’s job be like without such assistance?
What will be an ideal response?
Students should mention the executive office of the president and its role in assisting the president in making and communicating policy decisions and agendas as well as the use of advisors in other bureaucratic offices, including his/her cabinet members as well as advisors in the areas of national security, economic and domestic policy, legislative advisors, etc. Students should address the absence of such advisors and make projections on the difficulty of one person holding such an important job alone. Ultimately, even with the scores of advisors the president has, he/she is ultimately accountable for the actions of the executive branch.
