Discuss the different possible positive ways that adolescents may respond to being bullied.

What will be an ideal response?

One way is through direct action by directly confronting it with the intention of ending the conflict. The other proposed way to deal with the situation is to deal with the emotions that are caused by the bullying situations. Research suggests that adults hold a major influence on adolescent’s aggressive actions and that bullying can be significantly reduced for adolescents that spend time with adults who teach them nonviolent ways to handle stress and conflict. It is important for adolescents to have adequate time with adults whether it is parents, teachers, counselors, or mentors.
