If the economy is in recession, explain what advice you would give the President if you were a classical economist. What advice would you give if you were a Keynesian?

You would tell the President not to intervene in the economy, if you were a classical economist. The
economy will naturally tend toward full employment. If you were a Keynesian, you would advocate
intervention in the form of lower taxes or more government spending in periods of recession because the
economy can be in equilibrium at less than full employment.
