What were the goals of the Marshall Plan? Was it effective?

What will be an ideal response?

To help rebuild Europe after World War II, and it was very effective. The plan was to offer humanitarian aid to assist in Europe's recovery and to encourage nations in Europe to work together to improve economically. The United States also was aware that a stronger Europe could help to block the expansion of communism from the East as well as stimulate the U.S. economy, because so much of what European nations bought was made in the United States.
