Adobe Bridge is a content management application that is accessible from the Menu bar in Illustrator. Clicking the Go to Bridge button on the Menu bar opens the Bridge application. In Bridge, you can open and preview all files that Adobe programs can open. The main job of Bridge is to help you organize and view your content. In the Bridge window, you will see a list of your folders on your hard drive. Clicking a folder displays the contents of the folder in the Content pane. When you select a file in the Content pane, information about the file appears in the File Properties pane. You can view file properties, such as size, date created, date modified, and resolution. You can assign the same keyword or keywords to all of the files that are used for the same purpose. In Bridge, you can then search for files by sorting them by their keywords. Labels and ratings are two other ways to sort files in Bridge. These are just some of the basic uses of Bridge. Bridge has many advanced uses too, such as viewing and applying metadata to files.
