What are some of the characteristics of people with a high need for affiliation?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary. The need for affiliation is an urge to establish and maintain warm, close, intimate relationships with others. People with a high need for affiliation are motivated to express their emotions to others and expect them to do the same in return. They find conflicts disturbing and are strongly motivated to work through any such barriers to closeness. Please see the section "McClelland's Need Theory" for more information.
