Explain why HL is a valid congruence condition even though SSA is not necessarily a valid congruent condition.
What will be an ideal response?
HL refers to Hypotenuse-Leg, which means the two triangles under consideration are both
right triangles. Therefore we can use the Pythagorean Theorem to show the other two
corresponding legs are also congruent and apply either SAS or SSS.
