What are the advantages of using Network Address Translation (NAT)?
What will be an ideal response?
Using NAT discourages attackers, because they cannot identify a specific computer to attack behind the NAT device on the internal network. Instead, the attacker sees only the address of the NAT device or an address in the range of decoy addresses used by the NAT device. Another advantage of NAT is that it enables a network to use IP addresses on the internal network that are not formally registered for Internet use.
