The M'Naghten rule, the Durham rule, and the Brawner rule all are connected with insanity defense in criminal court. Define each rule and emphasize the difference between the three

What will be an ideal response?

M'Naghten is a rule for determining insanity, which asks whether or not the defendant knew what he or she was doing or whether the defendant knew that what he or she was doing was wrong. The Durham rule states that a person is not criminally responsible for his or her behavior if the person's illegal actions were the result of some mental disease or defect. The Brawner rule places responsibility for deciding insanity squarely with the jury.
