In 2014, news broke that the water was unsafe for several reasons. First, there was excessive lead in the water. Second, Legionnaires disease was found in the water. The water remains unsafe for consumption, and to date, 12 people have died of the Legionnaires in the water. However, Grand Blanc has had no problems with their water.
