Describe how you would respond to a plugged burner tip.
What will be an ideal response?
Plugged burner tips tend to make the flame pattern appear erratic as it shoots up and out towards a tube instead of up the firebox. If all efforts to clear the restriction fail, and if the flame pattern is impinging on the tubes, the furnace will need to be shutdown and the burner cleaned or replaced.
