How does LAN design relate to the need for WAN connectivity?
What will be an ideal response?
Some LANs only require basic WAN connectivity through DSL or cable modem lines that connect to the Internet. Other LANs employ a variety of WAN connectivity options for needs such as satellite communications for overseas connections, frame relay to join LANs in neighboring states, and T-3 lines for universal access to a Web site used to market products. When you design a network you should consider both LAN and WAN needs and how one type of network will connect to another.
