How could the formation of membranes have promoted the evolution of the first true cells?

What will be an ideal response?

Abiotic chemical processes produce compounds capable of spontaneously forming membranes, and the membranes can form closed vesicles. If RNA protein and other molecules are trapped inside vesicles, they can concentrate the compounds and increase the probability that they will interact. If this happens, natural selection can operate to make the reactions more specific and more efficient.
