Discuss the difference between prejudice, discrimination, and institutionalized discrimination. Provide examples.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Varies. Discuss how prejudices are thoughts or beliefs about certain groups of people whereas, discrimination is the intentional or unintentional unequal treatments of individuals based on their group membership. For example, one can be prejudice toward Latinx Americans by holding the belief that they are “taking” Americans jobs versus discrimination making people of color drink out of a separate water foundation at schools. Institutionalized discrimination is a set of laws or policies that are routine in how an organization is ran, such as Blacks being routinely denied medical care at a hospital, and so on.
