Describe the main difference between PAFC systems and other fuel cell technologies.
What will be an ideal response?
The main difference then between PAFC and other fuel cell technologies is the electrolyte used. Phosphoric acid is a liquid, like molten carbonates are liquids, but they are liquids at lower temperature and the cells can operate at lower temperatures than MCFC systems. Like PEM cells, they operate around 200°C and, like alkaline cells, they must use hydrogen as a fuel.
